By 1988, Walt Disney World's Vacation Information guide, formerly a packet of papers stapled together, was now published as a small booklet. This detail rich publication is mostly text, with a few charts, and a series of cute Disney character animations now included with the different section headings (as opposed to the more adult looking images that used to adorn the older packets).
With the resort expanding, we now find references to the Grand Floridian Beach Resort and Caribbean Beach Resort (apparently, beaches were important to emphasize when it came to naming new hotels). Disney learning programs are also featured prominently in the booklet and Disney added a full resort map to the Vacation Information presented here, which includes the location of the soon to open (in "Spring 1989") Disney-MGM Studios.
